A word from the heart of God: New life bears evidence.

Belief is not passive. My friend Shayne Payne, in his book Covenant, says belief is a transforming encounter that produces new birth. He says all things pass away, all things become new. And that new life bears evidence that God‘s power is at work within. You may want to read that again. “New life bears evidence.” That means words are not enough; words have to be followed by visible action. And if you are a new creation in Christ, then visible action means power and authority in Him. Belief in Jesus is only the beginning of a covenant life. When you enter into a covenant, Jesus gives you the right to become a child of God. Now the key question is that having the right is not the same as using it. True personal growth depends on what you do with that God-given right.
