Ownership

A word from the heart of God: Ownership.

The devil never attacks what he owns. He only attacks what he’s threatened by. “Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith.” 1 Peter 5:8-9. If you are feeling attacked, if you are feeling threatened, there is a very strong possibility that the opposition you are facing is because you are moving in God's direction. Satan is the ruler over the current system of sinful opposition to God. In other words, he’s leading the rebellion against God. Stand strong against darkness. You will suffer attacks because of your choice not to rebel against God, but that choice gives you the authority to defeat the attacks against you. This authority Jesus gave us means we are backed by all the power of heaven, using His Name. For this authority to work in your life, you must believe it. You must believe what God has said in His Word about you. Believing (faith) comes by the Word. James 4:7 says, “Submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.”

You are loved, Kris
