Seek to be emptied

A word from the heart of God: Seek to be emptied.

I often hear people in ministry say, "Be full, move in overflow." Although I believe both are true, I would caution you not to exclude being empty.  I’m reminded of the scripture in 2 Corinthians 12:9 where Paul says, "My power is made perfect in weakness." When we are truly emptied of ourselves, it’s a clear example of the room we have made for the Holy Spirit. This emptiness is so visible because it’s displayed in a reverence for God. My desire is not to be self-reliant but rather to be fully surrendered to God and trust in Him above all. Emptying oneself and stripping the things of the world off is very freeing. It’s so transformative when you embrace a mindset that continuously pours out, seeking less, which actually results in an inpouring of more from the Holy Spirit. This inpouring creates a beautiful dependence on God. I encourage you to seek to be emptied!

You are loved, Kris
