When things lie flat

A word from the heart of God: When things lie flat.

Interesting word today. As I prayed this morning, I sensed God ministering to me personally about the highs and lows in life. As many of you know, I have experienced much tragedy over the last few years. This year, I’m beginning to touch more and more pockets of joy, which has been very beautiful. Today, I believe God wants to remind us of what is and will always be consistent. In the world, you will have seasons when things seem flat and then other seasons when things seem to peak. All in all, what will always be consistent is God. God is sovereign. He has absolute power, authority, and wisdom to govern creation, orchestrating all events — even minor details — to fulfill His ultimate purpose without being hindered. Remember that the next time you feel flat and maybe purposeless. That is not truth. Everything, every season, and everyone is created with divine purpose. God is always present and where He is, it is good!
