Wrapped in Battle
I believe God chooses Chosen Ones. They are the ones who lead their families. Some would call them matriarchs. For those, blessings may appear to be wrapped in battle.
Partnering for purpose
Your purpose is not something you must invent, but something you were uniquely created to discover and walk out. “Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the Lord that will stand.” Proverbs 19:21.
He is the answer
So many people think that politics is the answer to humanity's problems, or the church is the answer to humanity’s problems, or even new laws or land borders are the answers to humanity’s problems.
Pulls and Tugs
Life has a way of becoming busy, hectic, stressful, and at times all-consuming. You may feel like you are being pulled and tugged in different directions.
Be constant in prayer
Implementing prayer disciplines will transform your life. I truly believe people underestimate the power of prayer and the consequences of a lack of it. Your prayers are alive.
The art of resilience
I was standing in line at the grocery store and I saw this magazine that read: The art of resilience, the guide to thriving in challenging times.
Dare to dream
I bet when you were younger, you dreamed about things in the future. Dreaming is a wonderful part of life. It’s a wonderful way to fuel passion, ignite inspiration, and elevate faith.
Plans of God
I believe that God predestined a plan for each and every one of us. I like to see that plan as a book. For some, the books are small, for others they may be novels, and for a few they may even be a series of books.
No entrance in
Matthew 7:21 is where Jesus warned, “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the Kingdom, but only the one who does the will of My Father.”
The most beautiful thing
My son Jared’s birthday just passed. My emotions are flooded with a vast array of love, sadness, humor, and surprise. As I sit in all these emotions before God, I’m humbled by the radiant revelation of the one beautiful thing that rises above all things.
A Shared Day
When something is shared, it means it’s joined. Today is Mother's Day and it’s also my son Jared’s birthday. My heart is flooded with so many beautiful and hard memories.
Adding value
What happens when you add something to something? The easiest answer is, you increase it, you enlarge it, you enhance it. What does the word value mean according to the Bible?
Made for more
What did you feel when you first read those words? It’s a great question to ask yourself. The apostle Paul writes: “I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which He has called you, the riches of His glorious inheritance in His holy people, and His incomparably great power for us who believe.” Ephesians 1:18-19.
In the silence
I believe that we underestimate the power within silence. Silence can help us channel inner peace while emphasizing the importance of finding God in quietness.
Healing is like a shoreline
I heard someone say that healing is like standing on the beach, with the waves facing your back. There are days when you may feel like a small wave brushes against your ankles; those are the good days.
Time heals all wounds
I would have to slightly disagree with that statement. In my opinion, time isn’t designed to heal. It’s designed to grow. I think the difference is who you become in the process.
When you're tested
A test in life grabs you by the collar and says, “Are you who you say you are?” A test shows you who you really are at the core. Testing seasons reveal if you are only strong when things are easy or do you rise to the occasion with zeal and resilience when things are hard.
Wiggle Room
This is a funny word today. “Wiggle room” is an informal term meaning leeway, freedom, or flexibility to change plans, renegotiate terms, or adjust a decision.
Live each day as if it was your last
I’m sure you’ve heard this saying before. In essence, it means to appreciate life. So then, what does it mean to appreciate something? When you appreciate something, you value its worth and you are grateful for it.
