Living intentionally
After experiencing much trauma over the last two years, I’ve learned to be intentional about experiencing life.
Keep Contending
My spiritual father, Bishop Joseph Mattera, recently wrote in a post, “Let’s keep contending for truth, revival, and transformation wherever God sends us.
Your way, your will
Ultimately, this means wait on God. It means His will in your life is much more valuable than your own.
Learn to live with what still hurts
The holidays are exceptionally hard for my family as we are still carrying the pain of the loss of our boys.
Seek to be emptied
I often hear people in ministry say, "Be full, move in overflow." Although I believe both are true, I would caution you not to exclude being empty.
In advance
Doing things in advance is wise. Too many people coast through life, never really moving with intention.
What is meant for you
There is a beautiful quote from Imam Al-Shafi’i and it is “My heart is at ease knowing what was meant for me will never miss me, and that which misses me was never meant for me.”
Deep Blue Sea
I went away for a few days to rest and seek the peace of God. I chose to go to an island surrounded by the ocean. As I looked ahead into the sea, all I saw was a deep blue ocean.
As you wait.
Waiting can be difficult. We want what we want when we want it. No one really loves waiting. I’ve been on vacation this week in Barbados and the pace on the island is much, much slower.
