It’s a time to Roar!
There have been several moments in my life where an internal roar was released from the depths of my soul. Those roars are embedded in my memory, each one with its own name tag and story.
Extracting
Powerful word today and one that I’m taking to heart personally. When you extract something, you remove or take out, especially by effort or force.
A Full Dependency in Christ
In essence, that means without God you are nothing. It literally means you share a breath with God. It means your eyes are consecrated to Jesus, for they are sacred.
The most dangerous thing to lose
Most people may respond to that with their houses, their car, their jobs, and/or their money. The truth is those things can be replaced.
Over and over and over again
God will put you through the same lesson repeadily until you learn the lesson He intended you to learn. There is one truth and that is you can choose to focus on you and you can control your own growth.
The beauty of a boundary
Surround yourself with people who love and respect you enough to see the beauty in boundaries. Boundaries are designed to teach a person how to love you correctly.
When things are blurred
Today, I woke up with an eye infection. Everything I looked at was blurred. The doctor gave me eye drops, so I know in a few days I will be feeling better and seeing clearly.
The Gift of Vision
Vision is the ability to think about or plan the future with imagination or wisdom. I heard a Pastor once say that the enemy of vision is sight.
Weak & Strong in the same sentence
Today, I was sensing God encouraging me to see my strength. As I took a deep dive into the past few months, I did see strength but I saw it through much weakness.
When you repent
I think people throw this word around loosely without truly understanding what God expects from us when we stand before Him in repentance. Repentance holds a significant place in the Bible, demonstrating the transformative power of turning away from sin and seeking God’s grace.
Self restraint
The demonstration of emotional restraint is one of the highest forms of restraint. If you ever wanted to gauge your maturity, this is the area where you would start.
He is the Potter
Have you ever heard this before? The phrase "we are clay, he is the potter" is a spiritual lesson that comes from the Bible, specifically the Book of Jeremiah.
Avoid Hedonism
The word hedonism means the devotion to pleasure as the ultimate goal. People who seek pleasure usually end up disappointed because pleasure only temporarily satisfies and does not last.
Seek Value
So many people today seek success without realizing that success is fleeting. Success is relative.
Self-respect
Don’t give part time people a full time position in your life. I heard someone say when someone treats you like you are just one of many options in their life, while you make them the only option in yours, they said to help them narrow their choice down by removing yourself from the equation.
